28 Squadron SAAF is a squadron of the South African Air Force. It is currently a medium transport squadron.

- First formed: 1 June 1943 (At Almaza, Egypt.)
- Historic aircraft flown: Avro Anson, Vickers Wellington, Dakotas, De Havilland Rapide, Avro York, Ventura, De Havilland Devon, De Havilland Heron, Vickers Viscount, C-160Z Transall
- Current aircraft flown: C-130BZ/F Hercules (to be replaced or augmented by between 8 and 14 Airbus Military A400M transports from 2010 onwards)
- Current base: AFB Waterkloof, Pretoria.
