White pride
|
The term White Pride is used interchangeably to depict both the movement of and concept within the politically active racialist community, especially in the United States. It is often associated with David Lane's 14 Words:
- "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White children."
While particularly linked with Stormfront (motto: White Pride World Wide), it is also used by many other separatist or supremacist groups. The term purportedly intends on separating between and distancing from those who employ it (who allegedly 'merely' take pride in possessing a lighter skin shade), and the term "racist" (those who practice racial hatred). Many critics view this self-proclaimed distinction as a cynical attempt for a more politically correct public image.
Within this movement, the codeword 14/88 is popular in some circles, with the 88 representing David Lane's 88 precepts, or sometimes the eighth letter in the alphabet, H, to represent Heil Hitler. The White Pride movement encompasses Neo-Nazi groups, but is neither limited to Nazism nor is defined by a consistent racialist ideology. Its unifying feature is a membership comprised of non-Jewish, Caucasian genealogical background who follow various race-centred doctrines.
