Ziguinchor

Ziguinchor is the capital of the Casamance region of Senegal. Casamance has long been trying to receive greater autonomy from Dakar. Relations between Dakar and guerillas in Casamance broke down in the mid 1990s and what was once a promising area for devlopment of Senegal's tourist industry is now mostly a no go area for those from outside the region.
