Yum! is a
corporation
which owns
Kentucky
Fried Chicken,
Pizza
Hut,
Taco Bell,
A&W Restaurants,
and
Long John
Silver's. It was created as Tricon Global Restaurants in
1997
when
PepsiCo spun off its restaurant
holdings. In May 2002, with the acquisition of A & W and Long John Silver's, Tricon
changed its name to "Yum!". Yum! is based in
Louisville,
Kentucky. Its common stock is traded on the
New
York Stock Exchange using the ticker symbol YUM.
