Yuan is, in Chinese language, the base unit of currency, for example, US dollar is Mei yuan. However, in international context, they may refer one of the four Chinese currencies:

• Renminbi (RMB￥, CN$)
• New Taiwan dollar
• Hong Kong dollar
• Macau dollar
