Walt Disney Concert Hall

Walt Disney Concert Hall in
Los Angeles,
California is the home of the
Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, it seats 2,265 people. Located on Grand Street, it opened on
October 23,
2003.
Frank Gehry-designed building features his favorite steel cladding. The whole project was launched in
1987, when the late Lillian Disney, widow of
Walt Disney donated $50 million, which later accumulated to $100 million donated from the
Walt Disney family. Total costs were $276 million and were collected from private contributors and some Los Angeles County funds.
