Ulvophyceae

A class of green algae, distinguished mainly on the basis of ultrastructural morphology. The sea lettuce, Ulva, belongs here. They are divided into the following groups:

• Order Ulotrichales (e.g. Ulothrix)
• Order Ulvales (e.g. Ulva)
• Order Siphonocladales
• Order Dasycladales
• Order Caulerpales
