Trillion

The term trillion can mean more than one thing:

• In Canadian, the Greek language, and American usage, one trillion equals 1,000,000,000,000, or 10¹², or one million millions. Britain and Australia traditionally used the European version, but have recently largely switched to the U.S. usage.

• In traditional European usage, one trillion equals 1,000,000,000,000,000,000, or 10¹⁸, or one million million millions.
