Thomas Johnson

Thomas Johnson was the first Governor of the state of Maryland.

He helped the Continental army during the American Revolution by manufacturing rifles. The remains of his factory is outside Frederick, Maryland.

He was briefly a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, appointed by George Washington.
