Samuel Taliaferro Rayburn

Samuel Taliaferro Rayburn (1882-1961) was an American politican from Texas. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1913 to 1961 and served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives three times, first from 1940 to 1947, than 1949 to 1953 and finally 1955 until he died in 1961. He was a member of the Democratic Party.
