Poleszuk

Poleszuk is the name given to the people who populated the swamps of Polesie. Asked for nationality, they usually answered "I am local", so they were put in the cell "others" during the census in Poland. Around 800 000 in 1931. Their dialect was recently assigned as dialect of Ukrainian. Nowadays in Belarus.
