was created in
1915. It was named
for
Choctaw words
oka
(water) and
lusa (black).
Geography

Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,802
km²
(1,082
mi²).
2,423 km² (936 mi²) of it is land and 379 km² (146 mi²) of
it is water. The total area is 13.53% water.
