New York Bay

The area where the Hudson River widens before entering the Atlantic Ocean is sometimes termed New York Bay. More frequently, it is divided into two: Upper New York Bay and Lower New York Bay. These are separated by The Narrows, an area between the Brooklyn end of Long Island and Staten Island.
