Murphy J. Foster
Murphy J. "Mike" Foster (born 11 July, 1930 in Shreveport, Louisiana) is a Louisiana politician. Since January of 1996 he has been Governor of Louisiana, being elected to two four year terms in 1995 and 1999.Foster is a member of the Republican Party.
In January of 2004 he is schedualed to be succeeded as governor by Kathleen Blanco.
