Dr. Karl Eberhard Schongarth SS-Oberbrigadefuhrer

Born in 1903 in the town of Leipzig.

Member of: SD Sicherheitdienst Intelligence Service of the SS Schutzstaffel. Joined in 1933.

SIPO Sicherheitspolizei Security Police head in Government General.

1 June 1994 appointed Commander of Gestapo in the Netherlands.

Stationed in Krakow. (when?)

Formed an Einsatzgrupen Special Action Group in Poland.

Responsible for the murder of up to 4,000 Jewish men between July and Sept 1941.

Attendee to the Wannsee Conference 20 January 1942.

(delete?) along with Dr Rudolf Lange (Einsatzgruppen A) as he had participated in Mass Killings.

Captured at the end of the war. (date?)

Schongarth was found guilty of executing a downed Allied pilot on 21 November 1944 by a British Court in Burgsteinfurt on 11 February 1946. He was executed 16 May 1946.
