Wise Guys

Wise Guys are the most prominent representatives of a cappella Music in Germany. The goup as it is known today exists since 1995 with the members Daniel Dickopf (Dän), Marc Sahr (Sari), Edzard Hüneke (Eddi), Clemens Tewinkel and Ferenc Husta who replaced the former bassist Christoph Tettinger. Tettinger is now the band's manager.

The original band members went to school together in Cologne. The band was already founded during that time but only later committed to a capella music. On the first albums, many songs were cover versions in English, today almost all songs are written by Daniel Dickopf and Ezard Hüneke and are in German. Most fans of the band live in Cologne and the Rhineland, but since the single "Jetzt ist Sommer" (Now it's summer) became their first chart success, they have fans all over Germany and even in Austria and Switzerland.

The band tour a lot, and every year they give two big open air concert in the Cologne Tanzbrunnen (In 2005 they'll give open air concerts in Dortmund ("Westfalenpark") and Munich (placed in the area of the "Bundesgartenschau"). The first of the 2002 Tanzbrunnen concerts was the biggest concert of an a capella group ever with about 16,000 spectators. In 2002 they had a tour through the USA and Canada and in 2005 they gave a concert in Slubice/Frankfurt an der Oder in Poland.
