Vandalism
Please do not vandalise articles, especially not sneakily while reverting other vandalism. By doing so you risk being blocked. --fvw* 03:08, 2005 Jan 4 (UTC)
- This (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=George_W._Bush&diff=9088640&oldid=9087129) looks like vandalism to me. If you've been here long enough to know how to revert, you've been here long enough to know that these kinds of comments are not appropriate. --fvw* 04:40, 2005 Jan 4 (UTC)
- Oh, right. I was assuming bad faith, always a mistake. Sorry about that. --fvw* 05:13, 2005 Jan 4 (UTC)
- No problem. At any rate, I shall stay away from him if I can (GWB is not my favorite person). I hope this serverstuff clears up soon, because I have to fix vandalism to Gondwana, but unlike earlier today, I cannot even access the history.

- History works for Gondwana again and someone already fixed it.

Why did you paste Jakew's talk page into Robert the Bruce's talk page?
You pasted the entire contents of User:Jakew's talk page into User:Robert the Bruce's talk page. This is the edit which you made: [1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Robert_the_Bruce&diff=9220175&oldid=9218924) I'm going to assume that this was an honest mistake, but either way, you have caused some confusion for me, Jakew, and Robert. Specifically, you pasted a message from me to Jakew which led Robert to believe that he'd been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please be more careful in the future. Rhobite 04:10, Jan 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Firstly, wrote my message in User talk:Jakew and pasted it into user talk:Robert the Bruce. I must have selected all and copy, I suppose. Really, the only thing I can remember clearly is seeing a broken link to user talk:Jakew and fixing it when I pasted it into [user talk:Robert the Bruce]], which I decided not to fix on the copy for Jakew because he will already read that copy on his talk-page.

- Fair enough, it makes sense. Thanks for the quick explanation. Rhobite 04:51, Jan 10, 2005 (UTC)
- I just finished apologizing to Robert the Bruce.

3RR violation
I believe you're mistaken about sexual intercourse - no participant reverted that article more than three times. If you could point me towards the personal attack, I'll take a look, but I really don't feel like wading through another one of your stupid crusades. Rhobite 05:27, Jan 13, 2005 (UTC)
- I see that you are technically right about 3RR. A certain someone mixed in a copyedit mixed in with the reversion. That certain someone is getting better about this. If it were just a mere 3RR I would not bother (3RR are a dime a dozen with this one). This one made his usual accusations against me which no longer bother me then, accused a innocent bystander of colluding against him. That upset me and made me contact you (you were the first to come to my mind because you wrote me earlier this week). Here is the accusation against the innocent bystander:
[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3ASexual_intercourse&diff=9327059&oldid=9314345)
The big green area is the introduction of the important stuff.
That certain someone made an accusation against Tony Sidaway | Talk who is not involved.

3RR report
First off, I apologize for being so slow to respond, I have exams right now, so I haven't been as active on Wikipedia over the past week.
You're right, that looks like a violation of the 3RR. However, I think that Jake tends to try and avoid breaking the 3RR, but was ignorant of the exact wording, so I'm going to let it slide this time. Since he should now know that it means you can't revert the page at all (he may have thought it meant that you can't revert to the same version) more than three times a day, I'll probably block him for you if he violates it again. -Frazzydee|✍ 17:06, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- I do not like playing the tattling game. I only reported this because a friend who could not report it asked me to do so. The only other time I reported 3RR was when someone assumed bad faith against a third party and I got indignant and reported the 3RR as well as the personal attack. Afterwards, I realized that I assumed bad faith myself in not trying to explain that the third party was not involved, and the admin judge that the reverts had sufficient differences not to count.
- I came to WikiPedia for fun. Before all of this started, I created a large percentage of the articles about palæocontinents. Now, I seem to spend most of my time protecting children from sexual mutilation. I wish that the other side would understand that we do not care which cosmetic surgeries adults get for themselves. We just want the children not disfigured for life on the whims of adults. To quote "Rodney" Glen King:
"¿"Can we get along here? ¿Can we all get along?" -- "Rodney" Glen King
I do not want Jakew punished. I just want this to stop. A simple statement in the articles such as:
We now know that universal circumcision of minors along with universal tonsillectomies, and appendectomies are contraindicated and therefore, like tonsillectomies and appendectomies, doctors should only circumcise minors for valid medical reasons following a diagnosis of pathology confirmed be at least a second opinion.
¿Is that so much to ask? The article can go onto say:
Many adults elect to have themselves circumcised because they believe that a naked glans is more pretty than one with a præpuce.
This seems fair. I just want the children left alone and this stupid fighting to end.
I really do not have anything personally against Jakew. To quote from the episode Balance of Terror from the original series:
"I regret that we meet in this way. You and I are of a kind. In a different reality, I could have called you friend." -- Romulan Commander

Inclusion of Slogans in Wikipedia
Hey Walabio! (sorry, don't know what the unicode is for the first letter) Anyway, I noticed your support for a slogan on the VfD and was wondering if you'd like to place your opinion at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#Inclusion of Slogans as Separate Articles. So far, everybody (including myself) seems to be in favour of deleting the slogans or merging them with appropriate articles, and it would be nice to hear the other side of the debate (if indeed there is one). Either way, come and weigh in! Thanks for your time. Regards, [[User:Consequencefree|]] 22:25, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Arbitration Committee ruling
The arbcom case against Robert the Bruce has closed. As a result, you are advised to re-read Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy, with particular attention to the idea that NPOV includes all significant points of view regarding any subject on which there is division of opinion. You are expected to improve their editing habits and reminded that any future cases will consider seriously any failure to heed this warning. Please see the final decision for details. -- Grunt [[European Union|]] 23:48, 2005 Feb 18 (UTC)
Valabio, not ŭalabio
Saluton, Ŭalabio (no, I don't speak Esperanto, I'm just trying to learn it). I noticed you say in your user page that "Ŭalabio is Esperantic for wallaby". The Wikipedia article wallaby links to eo:Valabio instead of eo:Ŭalabio (which redirects to Valabio). Are both forms accepted? If they are, shouldn't you have chosen Valabio instead of Walabio for your username, in order to be able to write it without Unicode?
Thanks for your time. --Fibonacci 03:22, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- ¡Salutojn!
- ¿Kiel vi fartas?
- Mi skribas esperante espenate ke vi povu kompreni min. ;-)
- Some Esperantists do not like the letter Ŭ at the beginning of syllables because it does not occur in their native languages. If Esperanto follows the path of least denominator when it comes to phonetics, we shall all grunt at each other. I believe that Ŭalabio should be Ŭalabio. ¿Which is a better sentence?:
Washington (Vaŝington) estas la ĉefurbo de Usono.
Washington (Ŭaŝington) estas la ĉefurbo de Usono.
The second one is better because it gives the correct pronunciation of Washington.

Back from wikiholiday
I've recently returned from my wikiholiday and have been catching up on what went on while I was away. I have only recently come across the arbcom ruling banning, thank God, Robert the Bruce. I am sorry that I was not here to offer you advice when you needed it as a participant in the case. I have also noticed that the arbcom asked you to review the NPOV policy. Likewise, I would like you to know that at the first sign of a conflict between yourself and another user you may contact me, regardless of rather I'm on vacation or not, if you desire my help. P.S. Keep up the good work with the geology articles and remember wikilove, wikiquette, and NPOV. :) -JCarriker 23:32, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)
Invitation to join U.S. Regions wikiproject
I'd like extend an invitation for you to join the U.S. Regions wikiproject. If you want to join please add you name to participants, and review the curent policy as well as the current proposal and debate on talk. The project concetrates on the current physcial, cultural, and political regions, however your geologic expertise could prove useful. -JCarriker 12:16, Apr 29, 2005 (UTC)
Stubs
Thanks for adding the Black head article. As part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting, I have replaced the generalized {{stub}} tag with {{Med-stub}}. When you create new articles, it would be great if you could use these more specific tags whenever possible. Thanks, and continue contributing to Wikipedia!
