Attention!

Do not post any messages asking me to put anything in my user page, or they will be immediately wiped from this page. My user name is red for the sole reason that this is a non-restorable condition, thus it must stay red. Do not put text of your own into my supposed-to-be-nonexistent user page, or it will be interpreted as vandalism and I will have it immediately deleted. Denelson83 01:49, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Alternative text for images

Hi, can you add Wikipedia:Alternative text for images for the FIAV usage code symbols you're adding? Thanks. --Jiang 07:26, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Hello! Could you please include an edit summary (no matter how brief; e.g. "typo" would be useful) even with minor edits? The connection I have to Wikipedia is patchy at best, and it saves me a lot of time when I can read the summary instead of having to look at the diff.

I often review an article's edit history not so much looking for flaws as looking for good edits which people have done in ways which I could apply on other pages. Finding these (even the minor ones) is a difficult process if there's no summary. I'm only taking the time to ask as your name stuck out (it being red... nice touch!) and further investigation revealed some nice edits.

The extra second it takes to fill it in each time would save me (and presumably others?) at least 20 seconds each time I don't have to check the diff, and would be much appreciated. Thanks! — PMcM 16:25, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Page history

Hey, I just looked through the page history of your user page. What are you going to do about it? Nelson Ricardo 02:04, May 1, 2005 (UTC)

Nope. I am going to read. That's what it's there for. By becoming a user here, you have consented to having the history available for all posterity. Nelson Ricardo 03:03, May 1, 2005 (UTC)
Oh, and I meant the talk page. You have somehow managed to blank the history on your actual user page. You must have "connections". Nelson Ricardo 03:04, May 1, 2005 (UTC)

CBC

I'd have to know more about what particular parts you want sourced to be able to answer the question adequately; the stuff I added comes from a variety of sources, including websites, books, newspaper articles and some bits of knowledge I've gleaned along the way without any recall of where from. Bearcat 06:15, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

The stuff under "CBC Television" about stations and schedules comes from a combination of Nelson Media and observation; frex, one can look at the online program guides of CBC affiliates to note that they usually don't carry ZeD or the 11 p.m. National repeat. Nelson already cites the afternoon programming, Canada Now and Thursday night arts as programming that private affiliates usually don't carry. (Though, surprisingly, one private affiliate -- CKPR, IIRC -- does air ZeD.)

The stuff I added under "CBC and the United States" mostly came from Googling to make sure I had the facts straight around Newsworld International, As It Happens and the US stations that aired CBC coverage on September 11, 2001, though I don't remember any specific sites offhand. (I still distinctly recall reading in the past that Barry Diller had run CBC coverage on QVC, but I couldn't actually find anything to support that assertion.) Bearcat 06:58, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

I shoulda clued in on the user name, shouldn't I? *grin* Bearcat 07:11, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

US Highway banners

Hi there! I was just wondering what source you got the US Highway banners from, I'd like to try to find some higher-res stuff for Wikipedia and for some personal projects. Thanks! --Alexwcovington (talk) 03:56, 12 May 2005 (UTC)

Just to clarify, I wasn't questioning the validity of the PD label, I was just looking for the source so I could see if I could get any scalable-type art ^_^. --Alexwcovington (talk)

British Columbia provincial highways

A vast majority of those B.C. provinicial highway articles that are one paragraph should have the road stub template; just a thought as I was thinking of doing the same thing for Alberta provincial highways. Phoenix2 23:15, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

Superherobox/Superteambox colours

Why add a Japanese colour in the WP:CMC colour scheme? Manga's under WikiProject Anime and Manga, not Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics. - SoM 22:00, 28 May 2005 (UTC)

Ogg file

Thanks for tagging this. You can leave it on PUI, I will remove it when I check the images to be moved to Phase II. Burgundavia (✈ take a flight?) 08:40, May 29, 2005 (UTC)
