Tiki CMS/Groupware or TikiWiki is an open source content management system (CMS) and Groupware that can be used to create web applications, sites, portals, intranets and extranets.
TikiWiki also works as a Web-based collaboration tool. It is a multi-purpose package with a lot of native options and sections that you can enable/disable as you need them. It is designed to be international, clean and extensible.
TikiWiki incorporates all the features present in several other wiki systems available today plus a lot of new features and options, allowing your wiki application to be whatever you want it to be -- from a simple wiki to a complex site for a whole user community with many intermediate steps. You can use TikiWiki as a forums site, a chatroom, for poll taking, and more.
TikiWiki's major features include: article, forum, newsletter, blog, file/image gallery, wiki, drawing, tracker, directory, poll/survey, quiz, FAQ, chat, banner, webmail, calendar, category, ACL, and more. In addition to the functional features the system also lets the user select different visual styles based on CSS-files leaving the user with the possibility to have his/her special style.
TikiWiki is of course named after Tiki.
An entire configuration page is dedicated to the enabling or disabling of the myraid features available in each TikiWiki, allowing administrators to better 'adapt' the site to the needs of the users.
Documentation
A documentation resource is available at doc.tikiwiki.org. However due to several factors - namely, the documentation itself being a wiki and resources being mined from other pages - a majority of the information required to understand all the features of TikiWiki is unavailable.
Technics
Technically TikiWiki is based on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP).
