The Rest of the Story

The Rest of the Story is a weekday radio segment told by Paul Harvey. It consists of a quaint factual story about American history, usually with the narrative's main character being a famous American.
Harvey's style on The Rest of the Story is one in which the narrative starts out leaving the listener wondering many things. By the end, however, Harvey has revealed the outcome and identity of the main character (usually, the segment begins with just giving him or her a first name only). His catchphrase on the segment is:
- And now you know... the rest of the story.
The show is not noted for its accuracy or for verification of its stories, and often presents unfounded urban legends as factual.
