The Four Feathers is a 1902 adventure novel by British writer A.E.W. Mason which has been filmed several times. It tells the story of British officer, Harry Faversham, who resigns from his regiment just before the Battle of Omdurman in the Sudan in the late 1880s. He is faced with either redeeming himself of the subsequent charge of cowardice, or else losing any respect in stern Victorian society.
