Does anyone know the exact relationship between the names Gustav Line and Winter Line? I find that some sources call it one, and some another, with no explanation. DJ Clayworth 17:18, 20 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Here's what I find. Some sources ([1] (http://www.cavekids2000.com/famous/dan/cassino.htm) [2] (http://www.337thinfantry.net/list.htm) [3] (http://www.soc.mil/swcs/museum/MOmemo.shtml)) consider the Winter Line to be separate from the Gustav Line. Some sites ([4] (http://members.shaw.ca/madorosh/divscan.htm)) consider the Winter Line to be north of Rome. Some consider them to be the same thing. DJ Clayworth 19:09, 20 Feb 2004 (UTC)
