Apprentices in the original sense - not the sense used in recent years - were also useless (net) until near the end of their apprenticeships. They often needed their parents to put up money to get them taken on. PML.

What about urban schools? For that matter, what about rural schools? Are suburbs thought to somehow have more high schools than the city or the country?
