Talk:Social welfare
From Academic Kids
Does anybody have anything that supports the statement "In common United States parlance, social welfare is a synonym for the provision of financial aid in the form of social security."? As far as I know, social welfare=social services (also social work/social worker) here, too.[1] (http://socialwelfare.berkeley.edu/) [2] (http://www.albany.edu/ssw/) [3] (http://www.socwel.ukans.edu/), etc. Niteowlneils 00:10, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)
changed "schemes" to "programs" as "scheme" has negative connotation and "program" is neutral
