Talk:Governors Island

Note on name
The name of this island is without an apostrophe. The name is often mistakenly written as "Governor's Island" and even "Governors' Island". Although it seems counterintuitive, the correct spelling, as it appears on all official nautical charts and governmment maps, is without an apostrophe: "Governors Island." There is no doubt about this at all, as far as official usage.
