Are Bedouin on general Muslim? is there a 'Bedouin' religion?

The question of religion and the bedouin is an interesting one, and has been discussed in the historical sources for centuries. First, it should be noted that the term "bedouin" does not refer to a single, homogeneous group of people. People calling themselves bedouin are widely scattered geographically and highly differentiated in their claimed ancestry, sense of identity, mode of subsistence, and social customs (including religious practice). If asked, many members of bedouin tribes would say that they are Muslims, but many of these same individuals also engage in practices and hold beliefs that many Muslim leaders would shun as "un-Islamic." Indeed, the question becomes more complex when one considers the fact that some Muslims call other Muslims "unbelievers" on account of political or religious differences. arabs in general had a pre-islamic religion before islam.
