Talk:Anarchist law
From Academic Kids
The first paragraph seems rather non-NPOV to me.. Anyone like to take a stab at a stub (well, it's longer than a stub already, but I had to say it...) definition? Rgamble
- Of course there is a problem here. If you call Anarchy a no rulers community, then how do you call a community with no rules? This is the killing of the language, that causes all problems, from the time of Babel tower.
I moved this paragraph here because it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense (I think it was written by a non-English-speaking person) -- however, it could be developed. The "Babel" reference isn't explained, and it flew right over my head. Besides, this probably belongs elsewhere, though a note is meritted here. -- Sam
Dunno if this'll help, but Tower of Babel is the reference... -Martin
I didn't write the above, but I think its meaning is:
- a word is needed for "a community with no rules"
- the word "anarchy" seems to be one good word for "a community with no rules"
So, if
- anarchy means "a community with rules, but with no rulers",
then
- a new word is needed for "a community with no rules".
Possible solutions:
- ordinary English "law of the jungle"
- current regime in the US - "actions of the present US government" - could be said to be an example of a community which tries to violate international rule of law (but of course this is not NPOV unless I go list a whole lot of background reading)
I'll see if I can put "law of the jungle" in there somewhere. -- Anarchist Legal Collective ;)
