In the fictional world of Star Trek, Starfleet Command is the headquarters of Starfleet, the directorate of exploration and defense for the United Federation of Planets. It is located in San Francisco, (currently within the United States of America), Earth.

Starfleet Command is the operating authority for the interstellar scientific, exploratory, and defensive agency of the United Federation of Planets. The primary control hub was located in San Francisco on Earth, but other command facilities were located in various starbases throughout Federation space. Starfleet Command stayed in touch with its starships by means of a subspace radio communications network, but even with this faster-than-light medium, interstellar space is so vast that it was not uncommon for ships on the frontier to be out of touch. As a result, starship captains were frequently granted broad discretionary powers to interpret Federation policy in the absence of immediate instructions from Starfleet Command.
The term Starfleet Command was first used the in the episode "Court Martial" (TOS). Starfleet Command's fleet-operations center in San Francisco was seen in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
