Sinsharishkun was one of the last kings of the Assyrian empire.
He was the son of Ashurbanipal and (possibly) the brother of Ashuruballit II, the last Assyrian king (612-607 BC).
He reigned from 623 BC until August 10, 612 BC, when he burnt in his palace in the Babylonian-Median attack on Nineveh, Assyria's largest city.
