Rogers Communications Inc. (RCI) Template:Tsx Template:Tsx Template:Nyse is Canada's largest cable television service provider with approximately 2.2 million customers in southern Ontario (90% of customers), New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Rogers offers cable television, digital cable and high definition television, video on demand, broadband Internet access, interactive television and enhanced television. Rogers Cable also operates Rogers Video, Canada's largest domestically owned chain of video stores. Rogers Cable is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rogers Communications Inc and operates over 270 locations coast to coast.

Through Rogers Wireless, the corporation offer wireless communications services and is the largest wireless provider in Canada with 5.3 million voice and data subscribers.

Rogers owns Toronto's multicultural television stations, CFMT and CJMT They also own G4techTV Canada and produce Call for Help 2.0 & Gadgets & Gizmos.

Through Rogers Media, it publishes Maclean's, Canada's weekly newsmagazine, L'Actualité magazine, Chatelaine, Flare and a variety of other magazines & radio stations. The media arm also owns The Shopping Channel and the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team and the Rogers Centre (previously known as SkyDome).

On May 11, 2005, Rogers Communications Inc. and Call-Net Enterprises Incorporated jointly announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which RCI will acquire 100% of Call-Net, the parent company of Sprint Canada, in a share for share transaction under a plan of arrangement ([1] (http://micro.newswire.ca/release.cgi?rkey=1305117409&view=84735-0&Start=0)). If successful, the deal would allow Rogers to enter the lucrative residential phone business and challenge Bell Canada.

On May 25, 2005, Edward Rogers announced that the two largest divisions of the Rogers Communications would be merged into one asset; Rogers Wireless and Rogers Cable now operate under the joint banner of Rogers Communications. Nadir Mohamed, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Wireless, is now President and Chief Operating Officer of the Communications division of Rogers, which includes both Rogers Wireless and Rogers Cable. Nadir Mohamed will also join the Board of Directors of Rogers Communications Inc. Under Nadir Mohamed's leadership, Edward Rogers will continue as President of Rogers Cable while Robert Bruce, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Rogers Wireless, will become President of Rogers Wireless.
