Robert Downey Sr.

Robert Downey Sr. born Robert John Elias Jr., actor, writer and director is best known as the director and writer of the cult classic feature film Putney Swope. Father of Robert Downey Jr. he began directing low budget independent films in the early 1960s. Putney Swope a biting satire on the New York Madison Avenue advertising agency business was his first film to receive a major release by Don Rugoff.
