Rob Thomas

Robert Kelly "Rob" Thomas (born February 14, 1972) is an American recording artist, and the lead singer of the band Matchbox Twenty and formerly in the band Tabitha's Secret. Thomas is also known for singing on the Carlos Santana hit "Smooth," on the album Supernatural, in 1999.

In 2004, the Songwriters Hall of Fame awarded Thomas the first Starlight Award, recognizing young songwriters who have already made a lasting impact in the music industry.

On April 19, 2005, he released a solo album, Something to Be, which includes duets with artists such as John Mayer. His first single off that album, "Lonely No More", has reached No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart so far. The aforementioned single debuted in the Top 10 of the Australian ARIAnet singles chart on the week of April 4, 2005.

He has been married to Marisol Maldonado since 1999, and has a son named Madison Avery from a former relationship.

Rob Thomas is from Florida and attended Lake Brantley High School. He's 5'9" in height. He was born on a military base in Germany. His favorite colours are blue and black. His favorite drinks are Jack Daniels and Coke. His favorite ice cream is cookies and cream flavour. His favorite chips are Pringles sour cream and onion flavour. His favorite cigarettes are Camel Special Lights. He stated his desire to be a musician at age 13. His favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and Tom Robbins. He was in the band Tabitha's Secret with Brian Yale and Paul Doucette. He does his own nail polish. The first concert he attended was Genesis and the Invisible Touch Tour. His greatest influence is Steve Burry.
