Reynolds Township is a township located in Montcalm County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 4,279.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 93.5 km² (36.1 mi²). 93.3 km² (36.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.17% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 4,279 people, 1,534 households, and 1,142 families residing in the township. The population density is 45.8/km² (118.7/mi²). There are 1,693 housing units at an average density of 18.1/km² (47.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 96.24% White, 0.47% African American, 0.56% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.44% from other races, and 2.13% from two or more races. 1.66% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,534 households out of which 38.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.7% are married couples living together, 11.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% are non-families. 20.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.79 and the average family size is 3.17.
