Remsen is a village located in Oneida County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 531.

Geography
Remsen is located at 43°19'39" North, 75°11'12" West (43.327589, -75.186734)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²). None of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 531 people, 202 households, and 136 families residing in the village. The population density is 554.1/km² (1,431.9/mi²). There are 229 housing units at an average density of 239.0/km² (617.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.18% White, 0.75% Black or African American, 0.19% Native American, 0.75% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.13% from two or more races. 0.19% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 202 households out of which 36.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.0% are married couples living together, 15.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.2% are non-families. 24.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 3.12.
In the village the population is spread out with 27.7% under the age of 18, 12.2% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 9.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 88.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 94.9 males.
