Registry has several meanings, all of which generally relate to its original meaning as a written or official record of information, or the place where such records are kept.
- Animal breeding
- a breed registry for purebred animals records the ancestry and ownership of the animals.
- Computer-related
- the Windows registry is a database of all configuation settings in Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 98 SE, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003
