Portrait of An American Family was the first album by Marilyn Manson, released in 1994. Original bassist Gidget Gein was fired after the production of this album, but played all bass guitars.

Hidden Track

Although there is technically no hidden track on the album, a few seconds after the end of last track, Misery Machine, there is an continuous phone ringing for over five minutes. At approximately 12 minutes and 40 seconds into the track there is a phone recording of a woman supposedly complaining to have her son's name taken off the band's mailing list.
