Oak Hill is a tiny town located in Clay County, Kansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 35.

Geography

Oak Hill is located at 39°14'47" North, 97°20'32" West (39.246477, -97.342351)Template:GR.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.1 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.1 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 35 people, 13 households, and 6 families residing in the city. The population density is 270.3/km² (729.0/mi²). There are 20 housing units at an average density of 154.4/km² (416.6/mi²). Every resident is White.

There are 13 households out of which 23.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.5% are married couples living together, 7.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 53.8% are non-families. 46.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 30.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.69 and the average family size is 4.00.

In the city the population is spread out with 37.1% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 11.4% from 45 to 64, and 17.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 30 years. For every 100 females there are 105.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 144.4 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $29,583, and the median income for a family is $46,250. Males have a median income of $20,625 versus $38,750 for females. The per capita income for the city is $11,326. 2.9% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 0.0% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
