No Use for a Name began a punk and anarcho rock band. With every album, No Use's sound evolved, taking on a much lighter and poppier brand of melodic punk as the years passed.
The band formed in 1987 and their career began in autumn 1988. They performed for the first time and released their first album in 1990. No Use For A Name (NUFAN) are signed to Fat Mike's (NOFX) label, Fat Wreck Chords.
The Band's starting members were: Tony Sly (Vocals, Electric Guitar), Rory Koff (Drums) and Steve Papoutsis (Bass guitar and backing vocals). As their albums rolled on, lineup changes were constant, finally resulting in Papoutsis leaving the band and a second guitarist (Dave Nassie) being added, along with replacement bass guitarist Matt Riddle. These two musicians joined with founding NUFAN members Koff and Sly to become what No Use is today.
The band's 10th album, Keep Them Confused, was be released June 14th, 2005 and is more political than their earlier albums.
