Milltown is a borough located in Middlesex County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 7,000.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 4.1 km² (1.6 mi²). 4.1 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.88% water.

The average household size is 2.66 and the average family size is 3.12.
