Changing Demographics

With the recent construction of Glenbrook, a 400-hundred unit (single-family and townhouses), golf community, Middletown has seen a change in demographics since the census of 2000. Although the exact values are unknown as no further censuses have been conducted, the median income for a family has increased dramatically in the four-year period since the census of 2000. Home values have also increased, many homes selling for more than $400,000. As of March 2005, the Glenbrook development has two of four building phases completed. Construction has been stalled at times because of permit holds (in dispute is the amount of water available to the town).
