Manokotak is a city located in Dillingham Census Area, Alaska. As of the 2000 census, the population of the city is 399.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 96.5 km² (37.3 mi²). 94.2 km² (36.4 mi²) of it is land and 2.3 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.42% water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 399 people, 93 households, and 77 families residing in the city. The population density is 4.2/km² (11.0/mi²). There are 106 housing units at an average density of 1.1/km² (2.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 4.76% White, 0.25% Black or African American, 94.74% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 93 households out of which 55.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.7% are married couples living together, 11.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.2% are non-families. 15.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 4.29 and the average family size is 4.92.

In the city the population is spread out with 44.4% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 24.8% from 25 to 44, 15.0% from 45 to 64, and 5.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 22 years. For every 100 females there are 116.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 133.7 males.
