Brief bio

Born in the Sacean Plains, her parents (Hassar and Madelyn) were killed by bandits. She lived alone in her house until she finds a tactitian (you) lying on the ground. She then decides that nothing will change if she does not leave, so she goes in search of her maternal grandfather Lord Hausen, who she hopes will take her in. The player's job is to help her through her storyline by directing Lyn and the friends she makes (such as the cavaliers Sain and Kent) in battle. The player has his/her own game sprite, but it is only seen during story scenes and does not appear during the actual fighting at all.

Her story in short

After several battles and new allies (all of which will join you automatically), you have to defeat a level in which you save the old priest of a certain shrine. In gratitude, he allows Lyndis to try to draw the sword Mani Katti, which is protected by spirts and housed in the shrine. As it turns out, she is the only one who can draw the legendary sword. Since she can draw and, apparently, wield the sword, the priest tells her to take it with her.
Several battles and snippets of storyline later, she finds out that her grandfather is dying. At first it seems that he is dying a natural death, but then she finds out he is being poisened by another Marquess, Lyn's great-uncle Lungdren. He is set on replacing Lyn's grandfather as Marquess Caelin, and will go to any length, including telling him that Lyn is dead, and that he has no reason to live. Obviously, you fight a battle against him, and when he is killed, Lyn rushes to her grandfather. After a talk with Lyn, her grandfather recovers, Lyn stays with him at Castle Caelin, and you leave. Afterwards, she walks around on a journey with her grandfather.

Joining Eliwood

After you are a ways into Eliwood's story, he will be called to help Lyn. After a fight to regain Castle Caelin, Lyn joins your party. Eliwood's mission is to stop the Black Fang, a formerly good organization that was twisted by Nergal (see 'Enemies'), from summoning dragons. She does not have very high stats, and is one of the less useful in Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword.

Friends

There are far too many characters in Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken to list here, so only a few are mentioned. If you would like to add some more info, please do.

• Eliwood- One of the game's main heros. He meets Lyn after Ninian is kidnapped and Eliwood brings her back. He is Roy's father, though Roy isn't more than mentioned.
• Hector - The third and final Lord (the class given to the three heros) in the game. He is Eliwood's childhood friend and the brother of Marquess Ostia. He meets Lyn a little later than Eliwood.
• Ninian - A beautiful but mysterious girl with a dark secret who meets Lyn and becomes her friend rather early on.
• Nils - Ninian's brother, possibly younger, who is almost constantly with her. He shares Ninian's secret.
• Florina - Lyndis' old friend, a pegasus knight whom Lyn must rescue from bandits early on. She is very shy around men, and tends to be something of a klutz.
• Rath - A mercenary hired by the marquess of a city in Lycia, near Caelin. He meets Lyn and decides to travel in search of her family.
• Raven - Priscilla's long-lost brother. He is angry at the house of Ostia for his own personal reasons.
• Geitz - Geitz is the son of a merchant. He was embarrassed by his family so he left in search of himself.
• Guy - Guy is a myrmidon that was starving until he met Matthew. Now he joined Lyn's army to repay the favor.
• Karel - Karel is a crazed swordmaster who is known as "The Sword-Demon". He has a bloodlust and wants to kill anyone he sees as a "worthy opponent".
• Dorcas - Dorcas is a married man from a little town in Bern. He met Lyn when he joined a group of bandits that were attacking his wife.
• Bartre - A stupid muscle-bound doofus. He is one of Eliwood's guards.
• Oswin - A knight in the service of Ostia. He is Hector's sworn bodyguard and friend.
• Rebecca - Rebecca is an archer from a little town in Pherae. She joined Eliwood's army when he saved her town from bandits.
• Louise - A sniper who is the cousin of the queen of Bern and wife of Pent the mage general. She is the mother figure for Erk.
• Lucius - Lucius is a monk who looks a lot like a girl. He practices Light magic and is best friends with Raven.
• Serra - A cleric in service of the house of Ostia. She joined Lyn's army when she and her friends Erk were attacked by bandits.
• Renault - A mysterious bishop who is responsible for killing Lucius's father. He worked for the Dark Druid Nergal in return for a morph form of his dead friend. He later joined Eliwood's army.
• Erk - Erk is a mage from Etruria. He is extremely uptight and always wants to study and practice his skills. He joined Lyn's army along with Serra.
• Nino - A young mage who was duped into going on an assassination mission where she'd kill her victim, then her partner, Jaffar, would kill her. They both safely escaped and joined Eliwood's army.
• Pent - The Mage general and Count of Reglay. He was Athos's only student. He was the father figure for Erk.
• Canas - A scholar who devotes his life to studying dark magic. He is said to be Nino's uncle.

Enemies

Only the main enemy is mentioned here. If you have more info, please add it.

• Nergal - An evil man who seeks to open Dragon's Gate and control the dragons, making him the ruler of the world. He warped the Black Fang from a Robin Hood-like group to a gang of assassins, thieves, and spies who basically do his bidding.
• Limstella - The most powerful of Nergal's morphs. She does his bidding without question and lacks emotion. She is disliked by Sonia.
• Sonia - An agent of Nergal who practically, behind Brendan Reed's back, took control of the Black Fang. Nergal manipulates her so she believes herself to be a morph.
• Ursula - An evil valkryie who worships Sonia. One of the Four Fangs.
• Brendan Reed - The founder of the Black Fang, who ends up marrying Sonia. He originally intended the Black Fang to be an organization which defended the weak from corrupt lords.
• Linus - One of Brendan Reed's sons, a hero. One of the Four Fangs, known to most as the "Mad Dog". He and his brother Lloyd do not trust Sonia.
• Lloyd - A swordmaster and one of Brendan Reed's sons. One of the Four Fangs, known to most as the "White Wolf". He and Linus are like brothers to Nino.
• Ephidel- A morph somewhat like Sonia. He is the murderer of both Lord Helmann of Santaruz and Lord Hausen of Caelin. He also bent Lord Darin of Laus into inciting war with Ostia to try and gain control of Lycia to unify it. Ephidel only wanted Darin for his quintessence, and several times he called Darin (behind his back of course) an insufferable imbecile. He brought Eliwood's father Elbert to Dragon's Gate.
