The following is a list of modern Boy Scouts of America merit badges. Merit badges in bold are required for scouts desiring the rank of Eagle Scout. Links are to the official requirements on the Merit Badge Research Center (http://www.meritbadge.com/), and are followed by the year the badge was instituted.
