Las Noticias

Las Noticias was Tele Once's (now Univision Puerto Rico) newscast.

The show started in 1986 with Ramon Enrique Torres and Jennifer Wolff as anchors for the 5:00 edition. In 1990. The 12:00 edition started with Torres and Margarita Aponte. Then the 10:30 pm edition started with Torres. On March 11 of 1991, a morning version started and it was called Tu Maņana. Tu Manana's anchors were Carlos Ochoteco and Cyd Marie Fleming. Tu Manana also had different panel experts.

Over the years many people have worked in Tu Maņana and in Las Noticias as well. Famous reporters such as Carmen Dominicci, Elwood Cruz, Susan Soltero, Bruni Torres,Nuria Sebazco, Rommy Segarra,Felipe Gomez, Ada Monzon, Liza Lugo and many others have been featured.

In 1996, an investigative news show started airing monthly specials called Las Noticias Xtra, which offered reports considered to be shocking by many, about taboo themes in Puerto Rican society, like homosexualism and other themes.

Las Noticias eventually was reduced to a weekly section in the 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm editions. Tele Once's slogan was "Tele Once 24 horas el canal de Las Noticias" (Tele Once 24 hours the channel of Las Noticias).The show is currently called "Las Noticias Univision" and its slogan is "Estamos Contigo" (We're with you).

Las Noticias currently airs at 5:00 am, (Tu Maņana), 12:00 noon, (Las Noticias Univision a las 12), 6:00 pm, (Las Noticias Univision a las 6),11:00 pm. (Las Noticias Univision Edicion Nocturna) and, during weekends (since 1996) Las Noticias Univision Sabado,and Las Noticias Univision Domingo at 5 and 11 pm.
