This is a community of people studying not only modern theoretical physics and mathematics but also biology and chemistry. The group organizes schools (?), especially for scholars and undergraduates, as well doing original scientific research. Research areas in theoretical physics concentrate around quantum field theory, especially string theory.

How to get to ITEP
Go from Metro Profsojusnaja or Nahimovskij Prospekt by bus to the intersection of Nahimovskij and Sevastopol'skij prospect. Then walk five minutes along the wall and you will see the gate as well as the door where you should show your documents. Note that to get to ITEP you should be listed in the visitor's list.

MPG is in 180 building, primarily on the third floor. Simply go there by elevator and ask for any person you need.
