Label of Columbia Phonograph Company 1444-D with caricature of Paul Whiteman. This caricature was used in much of Whiteman's advertising at the time. Records with this label are nicknamed "Potato-Heads" by record collectors.
This side was recorded on June 17, 1928. It features Bix Beiderbecke on cornet and Bing Crosby on vocal; typically for the time, there is no indication of these facts on the label.
