Hinsdale CDP is a census-designated place (CDP) within the town of Hinsdalein Cheshire County, New Hampshire. The United States Census Bureau defines the CDP in order to report separate demographic details for the more densely populated main settlement of the town. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,713.

Geography
The census defines the CDP as a total area of 6.5 km² (2.5 mi²). 6.3 km² (2.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.40% water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 1,713 people, 707 households, and 431 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 272.2/km² (703.7/mi²). There are 746 housing units at an average density of 118.5 persons/km² (306.5 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.49% White, 0.35% African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.29% Pacific Islander, 0.41% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. 0.23% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 707 households out of which 30.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.4% are married couples living together, 10.0% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 39.0% are non-families. 30.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
