Glendora is a census-designated place located in Camden County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 4,907.

Geography

Glendora is located at 39°50'26" North, 75°4'7" West (39.840463, -75.068706)Template:GR.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.93% is water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,907 people, 1,944 households, and 1,294 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,770.7/km² (4,596.2/mi²). There are 1,997 housing units at an average density of 720.6/km² (1,870.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 97.55% White, 0.51% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.33% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.43% from other races, and 1.00% from two or more races. 1.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,944 households out of which 26.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.9% are married couples living together, 10.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 33.4% are non-families. 29.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 19.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.52 and the average family size is 3.17.

In the CDP the population is spread out with 21.5% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 20.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 88.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 82.6 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP is $42,801, and the median income for a family is $51,989. Males have a median income of $39,389 versus $29,334 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $21,089. 6.4% of the population and 3.4% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 6.0% of those under the age of 18 and 11.5% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
