Erie is a census-designated place located in Cass County, North Dakota. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 65.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.2 km² (2.0 mi²). 5.2 km² (2.0 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 65 people, 29 households, and 18 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 12.6/km² (32.6/mi²). There are 35 housing units at an average density of 6.8/km² (17.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 29 households out of which 20.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.2% are married couples living together, 3.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% are non-families. 31.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 17.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.24 and the average family size is 2.83.
