Aviation Prioneers Memorial at Cooma, New South Wales, Australia, with artifacts recovered from the Avro 618 Ten aircraft, "Southern Cloud", that crashed on 21 March 1931 in the Australian Alps' Toolong Mountain range. Its wreck was found on 26 October 1958.
Cooma is a town in the south of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 120 kilometres south of the national capital, Canberra, via the Monaro Highway, on the way to the Australian Alps. The town has a population of approximately 8,000.
Cooma is the main town of the Monaro region and the gateway to the Snowy Mountains. Actress Carmen Duncan, poet and essayist A. D. Hope, and politician John Tierney were all born in Cooma.

The Cooma Mosaic Walk was inaugurated during the Australian Bicentenary (1988) and is the centrepiece of the park on the highway to the Australian Alps at Jindabyne, New South Wales.
